SickKids vs. Pediatric Diseases

Toronto’s Hospital for Sick Children, known as SickKids, is quite literally on the front lines against pediatric disease in a new video that features real patients battling their ailments head-on. Dressed as gladiators and superheroes, patients bravely confront diseases like cancer, kidney failure, and cystic fibrosis, showing that sick doesn’t mean weak.

“It’s good for people that are sick or have some sort of injury like I did, it’s showing how strong they are,” said one of the patients who suited up as a gladiator.

SickKids is the largest pediatric academic hospital in Canada. They recently signed with Epic and will be going live with the full suite of Epic software to aid in the fight against pediatric diseases.
