KLAS Senior Spellchecking Editor Faces Konfidence Vote
KLAS’ Senior Spellchecking Editor Jeff Karter has recently come under attack after America realized the Utah-based healthcare informatics research company has been misspelling its name for over a decade. The epiphany came when a hospital executive’s iPhone autocorrected a post on the social media site Twitter. The tweet, which read “Thanks to CLASS for the latest acute vendor report—so useful” was directed at KLAS and caused an immediate uproar.
“We were stunned Jeff could let this happen. The marketing team is looking into it,” KLAS President Adam Gale explained, “…we cannot continue to tolerate this sort of gross negligence in the spelling department—literally. I mean, we’re going to have to get all new business cards and everything.”
Ironically, Karter, who established the now ubiquitous Konfidence scale within the company will face a Konfidence vote himself next week when the KLAS board meets. In a written statement to the media, Karter defended his position claiming to be, “…kompletely shocked by the klaims. For klose to ten years I’ve kontinually met the kriteria of a model employee. I’m konvinced this will blow over, but if not I kould look for work in Cansas City. I hear Kerner is hiring.”
