Epic has announced a groundbreaking partnership with the hit medical drama series Grey’s Anatomy. ABC, the network behind the show, has signed an agreement to make Epic the official system used by the fictional Grey Sloan Memorial Hospital.
“As an actor playing a doctor, I understand the importance of having a reliable and efficient EHR,” said Chandra Wilson, who plays Dr. Miranda Bailey, Chief of Surgery at Grey Sloan Memorial Hospital. “With Epic on board, our on-screen medical procedures will be more accurate and true-to-life than ever before.”
Epic’s EHR will not only enhance the show’s realism but will also introduce innovative features to engage viewers. Fans will have the opportunity to access an exclusive Grey’s Anatomy-themed patient portal, where they can chat with the cast using AI. Users can request appointments, receive personalized health advice, and even “consult” with their beloved Grey’s Anatomy characters.
“We are thrilled to partner with ABC and Grey’s Anatomy,” said Anna Green, chief entertainment officer at Epic. “This collaboration allows us to show the importance of our EHR while entertaining millions of viewers.”
